Street Photography in China

I arrived in Beijing, China, in 2017 with two things in mind; see my brother/friends and photograph the street.
It became quickly apparent to me that the latter would be an overwhelming task. Overwhelming in the sense that everything looked fascinating to me but without point of reference, having it been my first time in the country (and a very green street-photographer), I was unable to discern the important from the unimportant.

I shot this image when out one night. A local kiosk worker, whom which I sympathised with. A man lost amongst all the information and imagery that only a city of such proportion, chaos and wonder, can offer.
